Samsung SCH A990 Cellular Phone
I recently purchased this phone and so far, so good. The 3.2 megapixel camera has awesome quality. Many have reviewed this phone saying that there is no zoom feature for the still image camera.

One Problem
I love everything about this phone with one exception. I am on my third phone due to the phone constantly shutting off when closed shut. This has happened with all three models and the customer service rep at the Verizon store said it was happening to a lot of these phones.

buyer beware
this phone had its ability to play mp3s disabled by verizon. like the lg 8700 my kid got and a new 8300 a friend got, verizon changed the software to eliinate your ability to enter the 'secret' menu and enable mp3 playback. the camera takes great pictures. had to add an internal antenna booster to prevent calls from dropping- my old lg phones with the external antenna stub ( 8100, 8300) had much better reception. if you want to playback mp3s, better to go with at

it looks like a camera
the SCH-a990 which sports a unique design that looks first like a phone and then, when the screen is rotated 180-degrees, it looks like a camera. great
The camera on the Samsung SCH-A990 is good quality but it can not transfer pictures to my computer via Bluetooth. I feel that the shape is too square. When I close the cell phone my calls do not end and there is no way to change that. I can not set my music as my alarm clock melody or ringtone.

versatile phone
I absolutely love the Samsung SCH-A990! I have had it now for over a year and have not had any problems. The camera is awesome! I love pictures and music so it is the perfect phone for me. I am not looking forward to getting a new phone because I am so content. I have been through numerous phones and many times I buy a new one and find myself back at the store in a few months with a problem. This phone is,by all means, the best ever and I would absolutely suggest it to anyone looking for a versatile phone with a excellent camera and great phone service to give it a try.
