Overall Product Ratings:
Great features, lousy reception
I upgraded from a LG 4500 and was impressed with all the features of the 8300. Voice recogonition is excellent as is the speaker phone clarity. After getting home and using the phone I noticed how lousy my reception was. Callers could hear me fine but the reception on my end was not good. The meter strength flucuated constantly. It was diffulcult to hear who I was speaking with. After having the phone replaced and a tech looking at it, I still had lousy reception. Had the lg 4500 for two years and never had any reception problems.

Happy with my choice
I just got this phone a couple days ago and i must say that i couldn't be happier with it. I love the color and look of the phone over all, however i do think it would have looked better with an internal antenna or at least the option to replace the current antenna with one that is smaller. I love the mp3 player on the phone and if you get the 1 gig micro sd card its like have an ipod in your phone. There are a lot of features that allow you to change the way the menu looks and how the regular display looks, with thing such as color removing that annoying ERI banner, also being able to take small video clips and using them as your wallpaper for both the main screen and front screen. The quality of the camera on this phone is great, the picture quality is very vivid, unlike the motorola v710 i used to have where all the pictures taken almosted looked black and white because of the lack of color and detail. The sound is great for the ringtones and mp3 player with the side speakers on the phone, sounds very clear. All in all its a great phone, with plenty of features to have fun with.
