First BB, and I love it!
This is my first BB, and I am very impressed. Though it had a fairly long learning curve, once I got it figured out, I am very happy. I use Google Calendar, and they have just released a sync program for BB's and it works seamlessly. Both of my gmail accounts and the many Google Apps work great on the phone. Call quality is good, it never drops calls, and it is small and lightweight. GOOD JOB BB!

Too little...
I bought this phone for present. The light is perfect. The only thing, if you have perfect eye sight, this phone perfectly fine. But if you buy it for someone like my husband, who has bad eye, ha....ha..sorry hubby....the keyboard is too too small. Now, he switched back to his old Nokia N76. For blackberry, I just keep it for charm, because is free anyway with two year contract.

good deal
The new 8310 smartphone features integrated GPS functionality which also works with the Vodafone Navigator software installed into the unit. This allows mobile users to know exactly where they are and where they are going. It displays the user's precise location on a local map. Thanks to this new innovation, customers can avoid traffic problems caused by bad weather, traffic jams or road closures as known problems are automatically taken into account when the route is planned.

Great phone
This phone can do almost anything. I have read some of the comments that it does not have a video camera or support video however if you upgrade to the latest operating system which is 4.5 or higher you can activate the video camera as this new operating system opens up this feature. . Your carrier/service provider should have the latest operating system available. If not there are many forums etc that explain how to get the update.

great pda, phone not so great
I love the pda, trackball is really easy, quick, and fun to use, has lots of cool apps that I never have time to really explore and use. But I've never been happy with the call quality. I have to do a lot of repeating, as well as does the person I'm talking to. It's a beautiful phone and I love it other than the poor call quality. I cancelled the data plan after 6 months because I couldn't justify the extra cost to check my email on my phone vs checking it on my home computer. I'm not a business user, I'm a stay at home mom who has to stay on top of kids appt. and activities. I'm waiting to see some review on the bb bold when it comes out to hear if the call quality is better. If not, may have to consider the moto q or palm centro when I'm due for an upgrade.

Best AT
This is the best smartphone I have ever had. I purchased the 8300 but swapped it out for an 8310 when it became available. GPS works great both with Google Maps and the TeleNav service. Disabled PTT if you don't use it and the phone will run much faster. Multimedia features do the job and the Roxio software makes managing your songs easier.

Blackberry is a TERRIBLE phone
The blackberry is a TERRIBLE phone. i would not reccomend it to anyone. it is slow, always has software problems and is not user friendly. you constantly have to get the phone upgraded. put it this way. i have had my BB replaced 4 times in 5 months. each time i received a new phone they all had the same fault. GOOD luck if you decide to get one.

This phone is fun to use. 9/10
I Absolutely love this phone! It is so fun and easy to use. It integrates every aspect of day-to-day living into this phone. Of course, the battery life is not the best, but I have been used to that from other phones (such as the Sony Ericsson), also, there is no video recording, but I hear we will be able to download that soon. And, last there is no call-recording, which I hope that they will make as a downloadable feature soon. Otherwise, the speakers are the best, the Qwerty Keyboard is a major plus (even if the keys are a little small), and, the screen is nice and large. Also, for those that tend to drop their phones a lot, this is the phone for you.

New phone with incomplete features
Despite the phone being new it lacks features like video recorder, screen savers, java games. The email feature is worth using and the camera is pathetic. In a nut shell, it gives a feel of having a new phone in your pocket with very few features.

Almost perfect, with few problems
The feel of this phone is tops for any full qwerty smart phone. It is light and slim and easy to hold. The battery life is phenomenal, and it's easy to learn to use. I like the trackball since I do a lot of blogging from my phone. It allows me to quickly scan text and make corrections without scrolling one letter at a time. I particularly like the holster for the phone which puts the unit on standby disabling the keyboard while it is holstered. This saves battery life and keeps you from making accidental "pocket calls". I don't like belt clip phone holsters anyway, so this leather pouch is perfect for the pocket. This phone also gets a good signal. The screen auto dims in low light to save battery, when the lights are too bright to see the screen well, it brightens up automatically.

Generally excellent
This is my first time with a PDA/phone and find it to be extremely useful. Great sound quality on calls, no more dropped calls, and easy switching from application to application. Easy retrival of email. It's there already!! The music player sound is as good as my ipod, although Itunes software is far superior to Roxio. I bought this model to have access to its GPS capability. From that respect, I am disappointed. The Tel-Nav system leaves an awful lot to be desired. Too many times it took me off a highway only to put me right back on. It has no clue as to traffic conditions. Many times it wanted to re-route me because of "heavy traffic ahead" and fortunately I ignored the advice and continued on at the posted speed limit throughout my trip. This is not a hit on the phone itself but it is to say that if you are thinking about buying this phone for this feature, you should think twice.

Only BlackBerry can make it
If only BlackBerry would make their phones 3G enabled with EDGE tech on them then I'd become the biggest BlackBerry lover but without those,no can do!

"Great phone, good battery life excellent e-mail service"
This is my first blackberry and I'm amaze of the easy of use and the superb e-mail service. Also I'm quite surprised about the EDGE network speed it's actually very good. Probably some posts are old, but you can now download GTalk and the full set of google apps to your blackberry as well as Y! messenger right from the blackberry.com site. Also the full qwerty keyboard and the trackball are excelent, I'm coming from a Treo 700w from verizon (actually the WORST phone I ever got, and I mean ever, including my first Motorola MicroTAC). 9/10

easy to Use
Blackberry Curve 8310 far exceeded my expectations, the ease of use is excellent, the keyboard is great (except for a few oddly placed keys), and its form factor is amazing especially the weight. The loudspeaker is also very handy and much better than any of the loudspeakers I have previously used on mobile phones.
