Overall Product Ratings:
Love the look of the phone, but....
Setting up email and web browsing is a real issue. Not simple and in the case of my business our IT people have to go thru tech support to get this resolved. Therefore I can't say that I view this phone as a good business solution.

perfect for business and home
I love my Blackberry 8703e. It doesn't have a camera or music, but I never used it on my other phone anyway. I use it more for email, internet access, and the telnav gps system than a phone. One little draw back is there is only one main alarm clock. I take medicine several times a day and like multiple alarms, but I use the calander now and that works fine. This is by far the best multifunction phone I've ever owned. It's so easy to use, I can't believe it. The emails are great. I don't have to keep checking my home email account from my work computer, since it goes right to my phone now. I guess the only real draw back is that the phone isn't Windows based. But with everything else positive about the phone, that isn't really much of an issue. I highly recommend this phone to anyone who is busy and needs to keep in touch.

So far, so good
After reading reviews I decided to go with the Blackberry 8703e. I've been very satisfied with the phone from day one. The tethered modem capability allows me to hook up to the internet from virtually anywhere. The corporate and personal email accounts I have on the phone were easy to set up and I've been able to receive emails at any time. Finding names in the address book has not been a problem. The device syncs w/ Outlook just fine.

Disappointed
Not very good - I have an 8703e and it was tough getting it in an out of this holster. The magnet did not work correctly either - I found a better one in the dollar store and gave this one away.

Still my favorite blackberry
This is STILL my favorite Blackberry. The only reason it does not get a 10 is because it is missing a camera AND the ability to even receive picture messages. I can understand the logic in leaving a camera off of a business-focused device, but why cant I at least receive MMS messages? Wierd.

functionality is great
I have had all the PDA's and the Blackberry 8703 so far is great. The Treo was the worst. Verizon finally stepped up and let me out of the Treo and gave me a Blackberry 8703. It truly is a much better device. The battery life is great and the functionality is great as well.

Good in its segment
The keys on the BlackBerry are larger and wider than those on similar smartphones, such as the Palm Treo 700p and 700w. Typing was easy, though two hands are still required, as the width of the 8703e makes one-handed thumbboarding an uncomfortable reach. utherwise its good phone.
