the phone will hang all ways when the 5gb memory card is full and its touch screen is very slow network to fast but the mobile is good to buy and its cheeps price in nokia phone its a good phone to use......... damodar

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Nokia 5800 is very better, you can multi task like opening music player, browser, messages, apps @the same time, in samsung jet, you cant do that, it doesn't have much apps too because it's not a smartphone. Also 5800 has a bigger display!!!! Hope this helps

i am using this phone last six month there is best all supported software in this phone but this phone have many problem creating. exam: radio problem, many time switch off i have two time exchange my phone from nokia last care in last six month then choice are yours my email just_98765@yahoo.co.in

you wont be disappointed with the nokia 5800

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic offers a sharp touch screen and compact design, it also features a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G support. This is cool phone. The cellphone is amazing!!! The sound is great making it my new mp3 player. No problems with the touchscreen. also love the fact that when writing messages you're given the option to write in qwerty mode which makes things faster. I love listening to radio while I'm on the go. Using the internet on the mobile phone is ok if you're out and about. access to menus is dead easy, It's great for people who are not very good with technology.

The Phone wd hidden poblems

i bought this phone in oct. after using it for one mnth i'd seeen that after several on/off of phne everything was missing from memory card. the videos i recorded, music softwares everything. i formatted it but again same problem is ocuuring everything was missing the videos i converted to mp4. i checked it for virus but nothing.the similar problem is occurring with most of my friends.

A Nice Package

I purchase it recently on Nov 19 .. As they show in the advertisement, that U would be tapping ur fingers for Drum, Piano or Guitar on its touch screen ... nothing such happens as it is very slow against ur finger moving.. Still behind from Sony Walkman series sound output though labeled as Xpressmusic... very irritating when everything goes in its Message inbox, received through bluetooth.. Video making is good as it does in 30 fps.. GPS is very slow... No pre installed Office suit

Worst Phone Nokia Has Ever Made

Guys, i bought this phone before it was launched in India (through pre-booking) for Rs 20K and that was the biggest mistake of mine. The set i got is too sluggish, has been to nokia care twice and now i looking to sell it for whatever i get.

Great Value Touchphone

Good Camera, Headphones given are not that good, I feel touchscreen bit slow responsive but I am using touchscreen phones first time. Data cable given is too short to connect properly to computer. Rest all features are great.

Nice phone to have

i brought the phone in march. It really is a nice one. Except for GPS when connected many times the phones hangs and have to restart, rest all features are EK NO. I do suggest to take this phone. --------- srikanth

spirited handy-phone

I am having the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Mobile Phone. Using for the past 4 monhts. It excels all the available features on other mobile phones. I personally feel that for my mobile phone, the on/off syhstem needs to be addressed. Other than the above, no other adverse comment

5800 Not to be Taken

Problems is a nickname for this set, only suited to people with low usage /Pure Music. Cant be used as a daily mode for Communication. In 30 Days the Speaker phone got faulty and in 4 Months Screen Display is gone for a toss.3 Visits to Nokia care in just 4 Months.

Nokia 5800 at boom

I got my Nokia 5800 in Bangalore. ! I cant say if its an iPhone killer or not but definitely this piece from Nokia rocks. Sure iPhone has its positives and Nokia its flaws; but that is only one side of the coin.iPhone lovers! nothing is perfect in this universe. Not even your iPhones. And most of these praises for iPhone will come from people who have already bought it for a bomb and are not able to digest a competitive product for much less meant for the masses. They seem to be pure jealous as they lose their tags of exclusive touchscreen mobile owners. All that aside, yes there are a few glitches in Nokia 5800, but at the end of the day it is an absolute Valuable phone . (actually a bit more than that) ossum at the end

Worst Phone

2 weeks with my new cell n it has been 1 week in service centre.bcoz 1) USB cable never works 2) MusicPlayer,realplayer n even FM have very low volume 3) real player has no list option.u have to play one song at a time. 4) phone hangs when i try to refresh the media library 5) camera pics are very water colour type.not realistic. 6) A2DP bluetooth headset give very bad responce. so,overall this is a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.and that you to the nokia dont care i nevr got anything out of service centre.so dont buys this phone for god's sake

Nokia 5800 is an awesome piece,The phone itself is nicely built,in build 8GB microSD card and expandable memory upto 16 Gb this is something really gr8.and touch creen featuring made itself more commendable.

Just about ok

Well it is a good attempt by Nokia. The screen is big but the touch is not so promineant. The host of features are very impressive but the phone is a bit sluggish in its performance. My friend took it and its not at par with my samsung F480 touch phone. Both phones cost the same but samsung scores well above Nokia in most aspects. The accelometer is good and fun while playing games on it. Overall it is a ok phone but there are better ones available in the market for the same price and less hype.

worst phone

it cant be compared to the i phone in any aspect the touch response is very poor the quality of the materials used in the phone is very bad.after so much speculation nokia could have come out with some thing better for sure.the expectations from this phone have been high but it has missed to live up to the expectations

Great Phone

1. Carry case is strong enough to protect the phone but very inconvenient to remove the phone from the case. 2. The output is reasonably good but the included headset is disappointing. 3. Video playback is amazing. 4. Camera is good to use outdoors with good lighting but indoors the pictures come out to be grainy. 5. The battery life is good. The battery lasted 2 days with normal usage of music, calls and video playback. Also the charger is high power which chargers the phone fully in 1 hour. 6.The browsing experience is good enough on the default browser but can be enhanced using Opera 4.2 with support for 5800. 7. There aren't any preloaded softwares but the preloaded music makes up to that. 8. Touchscreen is superb. It took me only about 15 mins to get used to it. 9. For messaging there are 4 options from full QWERTY, mini QWERTY, alpha numeric to handwriting recognition with stylus. And its fairly easy to get used to them. 10. The home screen can only be customised for 4 contacts or 4 shortcuts. 11. Dailing on touchscreen is a nice experience. Also searching contacts is faster once you get used to it.
