Overall Product Ratings:
Bad camera
I hereby implore you all potential camera buyers not to get dazzled by this brand. Please donot buy any Samsung Camera. 5 of us friends got ourselves this camera each only to find after one year that its picture quality did not stand nowhere near its claims. the Pixellage was not true: A 5 MP claim was actually worth 3-4 in reality. in addition to consuming large battery power it frequently hangs up keeping you in a fix. It has happened many a time a candid moment was lost because of this jerk. Buy Nikon, Sony, Canon, Kodak.. in that order. or be fooled for the rest of your life with a Samsung Camera in your hand.

Cheap camera with cheap features
This camera takes decent pictures, until you go skiing. All of a sudden, the battery dies even though you just put brand new ones in. The picture quality is usually decent, however, every now and then pictures will randomly become unfocused or blurry. This camera is nice if you don't want to spend any money.

Batteries
I have tried brand new batteries, rechargeable batteries, and when I put into the camera, still shows there is no charge in the battery icon. Does anyone know if this is common with the Samsung camera?

Great pics, poor battery life
This was my first digital camera, and as such was a decent buy. Great deal at less than $100, and the pics are excellent quality. (Blown up to wallpaper size, still has very nice resolution.) Auto-focus is pretty accurate, and I get good quality, even when taking pictures with low-light. My main issue is very poor battery life, even using "electronics" batteries. When going on a week vacation, I have to take the batteries out to travel. I take (at minimum) an extra set. That being said, both sets will be dead by the time I return home. There is no button lock feature, and the keys are pretty easy to push. Any button will start the power up. My next camera choice will have to have a rechargeable battery pack.

Samsung S730 Digital Camera Review
Overall this was a great camera. I use this camera for different reasons. One, I use it to shoot jobs we do in construction. Very pleased as far as construction went. Two, I use it for family, and outings etc. If your going to take shots of the kids... in action, you are goingto be let down. My last outing with the kids, as at a pool, and couldnt get to close. With not being able to get close, I zoomed in, and was angered by the results. 1) When zooming in, the focus gets to a point, of just not bothering. 2) It takes to long for photos to process when zoomed. Once you take a shot, it takes about 5-10 seconds before you can take anoher shot and to find out, the last shot is blurry. Quality is definetly sacrificed. This was the biggest downfalls of this camera. As far as features, and non-moving shots, I must say this camera does well. If you have subjects that are not moving, and posing, you will be pleased. This gives the artist a chance to really come out on top. Still being fairly new to photography, I was able to look like a profesional, when my subjects were fishing, and enjoying the day. The photos came out looking great.
