The built-in HDMI is a very nice thing to have for those that want digital video output, S-Video and VGA are also there for the more old-fashioned approach to video output.

battery problem

its been working great until the battery stopped charging and now i get the message that time of day clock stopped and its blank, and doesn`t move any further. its very disappointing as the as I bought just a year back from US. everything else was just fine .

Hell with Dell Inspiron

First of all dont buy laptop in some other country and bring to India. Dell will not give any support and when we call up they say buy another warranty for 18000. There is display problem always, you can only hear the sound of booting up but no display. Somehow it got rid of that itself after one week!!Then after sometime my harddisk crashed and now I need to buy a separate warranty for 11500....

This laptop is not at all robust: It has got a known powersupply problem

If you want to know the problem with this laptop just search for "plugged in, not charging" dell inspiron 1525 This is a know issue in dell laptops and hence have a life of only 1 and a half years. I think one should prefer a robust laptop

DELL INSPIRON 1525 : always the Best

I have summed it all up above. Again, this is my third laptop; the first two being compaq from US. I had heard about Dell there and when i came to know Dell has opened in Chennai, i just knew i was close. In India, other laptops have their own problems mainly sub -standard technology and quality of parts. But Dell has maintained its flawless technology here. I have been using this laptop with an upgrade to Vista Home premium for the last 1 year as i feel it is the minimum reqmt to experience the power of Vista. The previous laptops had given me a lesson that i need a min of 2 GB RAM so i chose 2 GB without doubt. The beauty of this laptop is its clarity, brightness and excellent endurance. It runs for 48 hrs continuously without getting heated up. Thats a marvel! I read some reviews here and experienced the same about the poor sound. But now after upgrading the sound drivers from the DELL home page, this has become a home theatre. I compared the sound with many other brands, and they were nowhere close. As regards the support, Dell is classy and world renowned. My Wi-Fi was not working, and i just registered my problem on the website. The same day i got a mail that they are attending to me shortly. The next day morning i get a call from Dell Malaysia!! They try to know the problem. I think it was more to do with spybot software blocking some drivers and so wi-fi was not working. I dint know the problem. Even after being a hardware warranty only, they assured me of a solution. The next day they told me that a tech representative is on his way and the Wi-fi card has been shipped as they were not able to guide me online. The next day the engineer arrived and he was working till 11 in the night. He told me that if this is not resolved then the motherboard will be replaced!! No repair..only replacement. After some time, the geek or i should say wizard solved my problem, wished me and left. It was an awesome experience which is unmatched by its rivals!!! To sum up, i strongly recommend this laptop for students, teachers, comp sci adventurists, gamers and people in search of a quality product to buy with their hard earned money.. The search ends here. I know i m biased, but thats what, these people have stumped me at a time when i used to think quality stuff can't be bought from India. Thanks and keep it up

i hope you also love to work on dell

dell laptop is famous for its great power backup and screen resolution. I m using this from very long time and i am very much comfortable in working on this, Its is have very good RAM and other advanced feature. the contrast and resolution is also every decent than one can see the screen for long time. i hope you also love t work on dell

Believe its a good product but has its own demerits as its drivers are not readily available and once format with XP it shows multiple problems as sound driver sigmatel don't support XP environment.

Feedback about Dell inspiron 1525

I am using this laptop from the last 10 months and I haven't faced any issue with it except the OS which Dell is providing with it which is Vista.Vista consumes a lot of memory and also it hangs in some scenarios. So I recommend to take it with XP OS.
