Wonderful Camera

This is a great buy. I wanted something that was small but still took great video and zoomed shots. This does just that. The video is a big improvement over my previous casio z57, and when converted to DVD video, it looks like I used a video camera instead of point and shoot. The digital zoom with the anti-shake enabled produces very nice results. It's true that digital zoom is a compromise, but the resolution is so high that you can afford such magnification. I was also impressed at how fast I could take pictures between flashes. There was a brief recovery time, but so brief I did not notice myself waiting very often for the flash to be ready.

Excellent!!

I bought this camera a few months ago, and I love it! I was looking for something that was simple to use, but still great quality, and this was perfect. The camera is lightweight and doesn't take up much space. The pictures come out clear, even zoomed in. Video quality is great as well. Overall, this is just my favorite camera.

Two of my sons both bought this camera at different times. Both had a dead battery right out of the box that wouldn't take a charge and had to be exchanged. They liked the form factor of the camera, but the hassle of being dead out of the box wasn't good. We also expected a little better low light battery performance.

Decent photos and lots of features

This camera was a pleasant surprise. It takes point and shoot to a new level. Using the default settings gets you going right away. The battery is also a plus because it charged quickly and the camera was ready to use. My only gripes are that the camera says that it has a YouTube recording feature, but I still can't find it. Guess I need to read the manual for that. Second, I took some night time photos of a city scape with high rises and lights and all. The camera took the photos (with auto flash), but some strange circular blotches appeared across the photo. The blotches were not consistent in that they changed from photo to photo (I took several shots). When I switched the flash off, the blotches went away.

nice

It has some neat features and feels responsive, but its poor photos simply can't be overlooked.

Casio EX Z77

I'd recommend this camera within the notes in the review. It's great for family, vacation, or spur of the moment snapshots and video clips.
