Maruti Suzuki Ritz has been the most awaited car from the house of Maruti Suzuki after they shelved Maruti 800. Ritz fits into premium A2 segment market that has competition with the likes of Hyundai i10, Toyota Liva, among few others. Maruti Suzuki Ritz is sure to turn heads with its design and styling. It also sports ultimate power and technology attached to it. The car offers great technological advances and elegant look along with great Maruti expected fuel economy.

Engine Power Mileage
The heart of Ritz is finely designed for Indian roads. The K series K12M engine is powerful, refined and best in class. The K12M engine is very light weight that gives brilliant fuel economy and low emission compliant with BS IV.

The engine is advanced 1.2 litre, 16 valve which churns out powerful 86Ps at 600rpm and 113Nm torque at 4500 rpm. The engine is very responsive and boasts an improved compression ratio that delivers zippy and smooth acceleration. The lightweight DOHC engine unit reduces friction between the parts which improves durability and gives impeccable fuel economy of 17.94kmpl.

Even though being a powerful engine, it is very silent with very less vibrations which give pleasurable driving. As it is Maruti one can expect low maintenance cost with lesser oil change duration and long life spark plugs.

The 1197cc K12 series engine is married with 5 speed manual gearbox that offers smooth transmission. The engine can perform 100kmph from standstill in just 14.71 seconds and is capable of attaining top speed of 156 kmph.

Interiors and Exteriors
Ritz has a very aerodynamically designed shape. It is rather streamlined than box shaped. Front profile shows gently rising nose with smooth sloped on the roofline extending towards rear culminating in near vertical tail lights. Ritz feels very steady to drive even at high speed and strong gush of winds on highways. On the side Ritz gives a sporty look with creased line and unique shape that makes it very trendy and stylish. It also sports front and rear fog lamps for adverse weather driving. Ritz flow design continues till rear with its boomerang shaped high tail lights which is quite distinctive.

On the inside dashboard is very tastefully designed that forms very stylish yet very functional space. Speedometer is centrally positioned behind the power steering wheel along with all the indicator lamps neatly arranged around it. The central console has a waterfall design to it that gives ease of access and luxury at the same time. The dashboard mounted gearshift gives the driver very relaxed driving position and smoother gear shifts. The two toned dashboard with silver lining adds splash luxury to the interior. Front and back of Ritz feels quite spacious with good amount of head and leg room. The rear seat has 60:40 split which further increases it boot space. There is a series of smartly designed additional storage spaces in Ritz like under seat utility tray and dash mounted coin holder.

Maruti Suzuki Ritz Vxi variant has all the features of the basic Maruti Suzuki Ritz with addition of fabric inserts on door trims, front and rear power windows, full wheel cover, seat belt reminder, central locking, optional ABS and EDB, Tachometer, light off/key reminder, door ajar warning lamp, seat back pocket, co-driver side under seat tray, among many others.

Maruti Suzuki Ritz Vxi brings a lot to the table for Indian consumers. Ritz offers phenomenal fuel efficiency and refined styling. Ritz has pretty refreshing inside and unique exteriors appearance. Overall Ritz gives a good package for being a family car.
