Introduction
Apple has been unique in its product line and the iPhone is no different. Just as the Apple notebooks are exclusive, the iPod series is remarkable the iPhone is also exceptional in its own manner. Those who have used Apple's technologies either like them or are too caught up with the mob methodologies. The designing is outstanding and the features are neat.

Key Features
The iPhone 3G offers an extended talktime of about 5 hours. This offers ample usability for watching videos, listening to music or for basic phone usage. The phone has just one button and the rest is to be managed by the virtual keypad on the touch screen. The display screen is about 3.5-inches and is one of the largest and the brightest ones. It has a 2-megapixel camera which takes quality images. The sound quality of the iPhone is retained from the popular iPod and the music experience is illuminated. The phone has Wi-Fi capabilities and a YouTube viewer which makes browsing the net and watching videos a piece of cake.

User Friendly Aspects
The design of the phone is highly appealing. The looks are killer and the style is mesmerizing. The phone has easy usable options for changing profiles and volume level. The phone is huge display and offers a virtual keyboard for messaging and e-mailing. The sleek phone can fit into pockets easily and not feel bulky.
The bright screen resolution makes viewing videos and photos a sheer pleasurable experience. The easy of operations is evident from its simple navigations. The phone works on Mac operating system and functions fairly well.

Cons
The iPhone isn't perfect like any other phone. It has some shortcomings when compared with other smartphones. A big letdown is the Bluetooth function limited only to its headset. One cannot transfer files to other phones or computer through Bluetooth. The camera cannot record video but this can be enabled by using third party software which is widely available. The phone has limited ringtones and you need to buy one from iTunes store if you want a different ring.
The iPhone, like the iPod cannot be detected as a storage device and needs iTunes software enabling any transfers. This can be a letdown when you want to transfer stuff from your iPhone to other computers. The speaker of the phone is disappointing but the earphones output is enticing. The virtual keyboard is stylish but the usability is questioned while travelling in a bus or a train. It becomes difficult to message when you lack the keypad, but with time one does get used to it.

Performance
Truly stylish this phone is sure to win hearts worldwide by it appeal and uniqueness. The sound reception of the phone is commendable. It does lack a few small but utility features but its scope of accepting third party softwares is making it more acceptable. It a luxury offering and people with high internet usage will love to use it. It is definitely a device to flaunt in style.

Conclusion
Once you get used to it you won't feel like switching but if you dont get the hang of it you might not find it appealing. Either ways it is a smart design or a unique preposition which does make a bold statement.

This iphone is the junk

This iphone is the junk. it is just a good phone because the camera is useless without light.the brilliant touchscreen is somewhat of a waste. I hardly use mine. Again apple needs to upgrade the device itself, not just softwares and applications. if apple does improve the camera on the iphone by adding auto focus and a powerful cam flash then it will be the elite smartphone. that is all the iphone needs..an upgrade on the camera part.

vital option missing

Pros : 3G data network compatable

Cons : Still can't read old sim cards, bluetooth crippled

Since I haven't used the new phone this review is only based on the fact that, IMHO, the new iPhone is still missing some vital functionality. Firstly, it still can't read the contacts off an old sim card without jailbreaking it. I mean really, that's such a basic function. In my case I'd be stepping up from a basic cell to an iPhone and I really do not want to hand reenter over 200 contacts. I guess if you're moving from another smart phone where your data is already stored on outlook or another compatable contact manager it's not such a big deal but it's a deal breaker for me.

Not Impressed

Pros : 3G is good if you are where it is

Cons : Poor reception

This handset is nothing but trouble since i turned it on. Does not recieve signal at my home. If wi fi is turned on battery will be dead in 4 hours. that's not using wi fi that's just having it on! No clear boost case available for it. Not too much at all available for it. Plastic back is just scary. Dont put it in your back pocket for a second and forget and set down or it will all be over. I have had more dropped calls in 5 days than I have with all the cell phones I have owned conbined. If you use the GPS you need to have it pluged in to a charger. I used it on a twenty minute drive accross town and the battery was almost dead when I got there.
