This laptop comes with Intel 1.6GHz Dual Core processor, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM which is upgradeable upto 2GB and 160GB HDD. It has a DVD Writer, 15.4-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800dpi. The laptop also has an integrated VIA Chrome9 HC IGP video card, integrated modem and sound card, Wifi, Touchpad mouse, inbuilt speakers. The laptop has interfaces like Express Card slot, Four USB ports, comes with a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, Windows Vista Home Premium and a Li Ion battery.

The K28-K2801 is an entry-level notebook from HCL which is priced for people on a low budget. It operates on Windows Vista Home Premium and gives a perfect ease of operations.

Key Features
The Intel Pentium Dual Core processor that powers this notebook has a speed of 1.600GHz that makes sure you are not stuck with a slow computer. There is a large hard disk drive and a good RAM that can be upgraded to suit your needs. A DVD writer gives you the option of burning your favorite CDs and DVDs and there is also an integrated Chrome9 HC IGP video display card with a shared memory to enhance the performance.

The HCL Notebook K28-K2801 is featured with an integrated modem, a 1.3 MP webcam and a Wi-Fi card, features that are all you require as internet facilities. It also supports interfaces like 4x USB ports and 1 express card slot. The display screen is of the HCL View Perfect technology and its size is a good 15.4 inches.

The HCL Notebook K28-K2801 is a robust laptop with a good built and fine looks. It gives you a great performance and has all the standard features. However, it does lack a few things that other laptops are providing in the same price bracket. For instance, it does not have an option of an in built sound card and neither does it have a media card reader. The weight of the machine is average and does not qualify it to be a lightweight notebook.
