Rangefinders

The rangefinder is the device, which is used for measuring the distance from the observer eye to the target, for the use of surveying, studying, shaping focus in shooting, or exactly aiming the weapon. Some of the devices make use of active methods for measuring things such as sonar, laser, or radar; others measure distance by making the use of trigonometry. These methodologies make use of set of identified information, frequently distances or object dimensions, to make measurement, and have been in normal use from the 18th century.
