This laptop comes with Intel Pentium 1.6GHz Core Duo Processor, 1GB RAM which is upgradeable upto 2GB and 120GB HDD. It has a DVD writer, 15.4-inch TFT display with a display resolution of 1280x800 dpi. The laptop also has an integrated ATi Mobility Radeon X1600 video card, integrated modem and integrated Realtek ALC882 sound card, Built-in 1.3 Mega Pixel camera, Touchpad mouse, In-Built Speakers and Microphone, PCMCIA slot, S-Video Port and a firewire port. The laptop comes with a Lithium Ion battery and Linux Operating system.

The Matrix 1535 is a basic laptop by ACI that gives you all the standard features. It is a good choice for people who want to shift from their bulky desktops or PCs and get some mobility with their computer. It is a medium price range machine and can provide you with all your primary needs from a laptop.

Key Features
The Matrix ACI 1535 is powered by the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the same speed which is provided in other notebooks of its genre. A decent size standard RAM that can be upgraded for more provides a good memory. Not only that, the HDD is also of a good size and provides with good storage solutions.
The notebook comes with a Color Shine display screen which is wide enough to provide good viewing angles. It also has a dedicated ATi Mobility Radeon Card which gives excellent viewing solutions. This notebook is also a good pick due to its battery life. With a battery that lasts for an awesome 4 hours, you can watch that full movie and more without a single re fill!

Other Features
It also supports an internal modem for internet facilities with a speed of 56Kbps. That, along with an inbuilt camera provides very good internet solutions. The multi media features that the laptop supports are an integrated Realtek ALC882 sound card, microphone and speakers. The laptop also supports interfaces like 4 USB ports, one S-video port, one PCMCIA and one firewire.

Design and Looks
The weight of this machine is 2.9Kgs which brings it into the category of light weight notebooks. It has is a touchpad with a dedicated scroll up and down. A wide screen adds to its good looks and makes it a style enhancer!

Verdict
Though the laptop is good for starters and has all the features that other laptops of its genre offer, you do feel that in a much lesser price you could get a lot more from some of other brands. Brands like Compaq are offering laptops with features like a higher processor speed, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi etc in a less price which the ACI Matrix 1535 lacks.

is a straightforward laptop and is meant to serve as a desktop replacement. It doesn't boast of great processing power or graphics like the contemporary desktops do. It's a simple laptop, and is aimed at those who want to get rid of their sluggish 4-5 year old desktop and free up some good property for better purposes. To that, it's a good alternative system and doesn't tout for portability.
