Expert Reviews
Expert Rating : Good
This entry level phone from Motorola better known as Motoyuva has packed in some good features at a very low price. The phone though simply designed, has loads of features to offer. The phone is equipped with a music player and an FM. Besides it also has a 2 GB memory expansion option apart from the 256MB microSD card it offers.
The phone uses Crystal Talk technology for cutting out on the external disturbances faced while talking in crowded places. The phone supports iMelody, MIDI, MP3, AMR audio files for its player but it is not possible to create a continuous play list for hearing the music on the extended memory. It is very disappointing since this feature should have been made mandatory. It is troublesome while hearing music while travelling since one has to press back and play after evey song. The sound of the earphones is quite loud and appealing. The FM quality is also reasonably good.
The phone's unique feature allows messaging in Hinglish and also supports other Indian languages like Bengali, Tamil and Telegu. The phone does not have a camera and in a way it is best not to combine substandard features in one phone, which is competitively priced. There are not many games to offer and on top of it does not support Java, which automatically crosses out on most of the good available games. It is good value for money as it tries to provide more than basic features for the users and tries to manage the phone for its utility and entertainment.
The slow response of the cell is unique as Motorola. The applications and the messaging take a lot of time to respond. Nokia users will not find the user interface and the slow response of the cell very appealing. The small display and the shortcomings of the phone are a compromise to the offer made by Motorola at this price. Targeted at college crowd this phone suits well to all classes and is a good buy.
The Phone is very good for the use but, the battery life is not good.
If you are listening the songs from the momory card then the battery run up to 10 Hrs.
and for the general phone use the battery runs up to 36 Hrs. only
Also one problem I obersved with this handset is that some times it gets hang while ringing. The green button doesnt work to pick up the call. I face this issue many times with this handset.
Also cell info diplay is not available in this handset
yeah...im owning a moto yuva piece... it's very trendy and contemporary... includes mp3,pictures and radio recordings...apart from these... the talking clarity is very clear and cool even in a heavy traffic sound...that's all about..from me..
I had this phone for 3 months now. it's nice. but my pc cant recognize the device so i needed a card reader to download songs. the mobile internet connection is good. the most boring part is when i try to view the gallery. the pictures were too small in viewing. no zoom! if you're a music lover, i'm sure you'll gonna love it! try buying it instead of expensive ipods!
Pros : good sound quality,stylish design,low price
Cons : battery,display
I bought this phone because i needed a phone with all basic functionality but yet low price.
I have been using this for past several months and works perfect to me.I recharge the battery every day for an hour so no problem for me.
ABOUT THE PLAYLIST YOU CAN GO MUSIC-SETUP THEN SELECT AUTO REPEAT:ALL,SHUFFLE:ON.AFTER THIS YOU CAN SELECT TO PLAY'All songs',hence music problem is solved too.I believe its an perfect phone for college going boys and girls.
i purchased this phone as I needed a good phone without camera and i was unable to find any model meeting my satisfaction. Nokia E62 is also great but is very gigantic to carry on in pocket.
However my experience with this phone is not very satisfactory, i purchased this phone for loads of feature it carries and bears a great look.
One thing that bothers me is that the phone requires 2 hours to charge completely and gets completely discharged in another 22 hours...This goes against the literature accompanying the phone that says a stand by life of 465 Hrs
This phone is definitely worth its pricing. It has a player and FM and the sound quality is commendable. It lacks the user friendliness and the slow response of the phone to its applications is annoying at times. The phone doesn't play the music files stored in the memory card in a continuous manner which is quite boring to click the play button again n again. But the cheap pricing v/s the features and the utility the cons fall considerably short. It was my utility buy which has served my purpose.
